What State of the Art Training Technologies Can Do for Your Law Practice
and Your Clients
The Federal Sentencing Guidelines for organizations and recent enforcement actions by the Department of Justice and the United States Treasury make it clear that effective training is essential to an effective compliance program. On August 15, 2006, Bob Duthie presented a program to the Lawyers' Association for Women on how organizations tackle the challenges of creating and deploying training and how their lawyers assist them in this endeavor and in proving its effectiveness, using the latest in training technologies. The program was followed by a panel discussion featuring Michael Anne Butts (Assistant Vice President, HCA Regulatory Compliance Support), Donald L. Groninger (Retired General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer, Bridgestone-Firestone), and Kay Work (Regulatory and Compliance Resource Coordinator, Caterpillar Financial).
