Duthie Associates, Inc.'s Ted Nunes was a finalist in The World Internet Animation Contest in Hollywood with his cartoon short "Dream Sheep".

Sponsored by Shockwave.com, the popular internet site which features all types of digital entertainment, the contest was part of a week-long animation festival in Los Angeles. Nunes's "Dream Sheep" was selected as one of five finalists out of over 650 entries in the category "Best animation for children intended for the web". Entries were submitted by developers from all around the globe.

The 3 minute-long story of "Dream Sheep" revolves around a lady insomniac who resorts to counting comical sheep in the pursuit of slumber. It was developed using Macromedia's Flash, a program that allows the creation of fully-animated characters and scenes that "stream" quickly over the internet.

For almost seven years Nunes has created graphics and animation for interactive marketing and training presentations at Nashville-based Duthie Associates, Inc. "DAI has traditionally been a service house, mainly creating presentations to communicate our clients' messages." Nunes said. "I've often used short animated bits to enliven our presentations, but this is a new direction we're branching into; creating original animated content for the internet. The new tools and technology available now are amazing and allowing web-based entertainment to grow at a phenomenal rate."
